Описание: Mae Jordan (Laura Gemser) is an internationally acclaimed photographer known as Emanuelle. She flies into Africa for a photographic tour and stays at the home of Ann and Gianni Danieli. It is not long before the stunning Emanuelle is being persued by both Anna and Gianni as well as their friends Gloria and Richard Clifton but the photographer is not prepared to give in to anything more than their sexual desires and is determined to remain an independent woman.
Released within a year of the enourmously successful Emmanuelle (1974), Black Emanuelle is a complete contrast to the Just Jaekin film and the Emmanuelle Arsan books on which it was based. Emanuelle (with a copyright friendly one 'm') is a globe trotting reporter with a firmly independent sexual spirit. She certainly does not need any 'education' on this topic.
The storyline is a pretty basic affair, serving to get Emanuelle into Africa and little more. There are a few token references to her photography and it does serve to allow the film to use some beautiful locations but is of no real relevance to the plot, unlike some of the later Joe D'Amato films in which she will travel to dangerous locations for a story, in this case she could easily have just been an invited friend of the Danielis. The inter-relationships between the various characters which would seem to have been the main focus of the storyline is also rather thinly drawn with no real emphasis on character development and they all seem to openly accept Emanuelle sleeping with their partners - the film certainly never becomes the melodrama that it would appear to be. As it is, Black Emanuelle is all about presenting a series of nude and sex scenes, both straight and lesbian, with the storyline serving as nothing more than filler - although for this purpose it does work quite well, never letting the film drag.

Описание: Emanuelle is sent on assignment to Bangkok to get an exclusive with the king and his family. Her passport and belongings are stolen which forces her to take drastic measures to get out of Bangkok. After Emanuelle manages to get out of Bangkok she continues her pursuit for pleasure in India and Casablanca.
Emanuelle in Bangkok would mark the first time director Joe D’Amato and actress Laura Gemsar would work together. Gemsar had previously played the role of Emanuelle in the Bitto Albertini film titled Black Emanuelle. Emanuelle in Bangkok is not as sleazy as the other entries that would follow. The sex scenes are all beautifully shot and framed. There is never anything vulgar or graphic about them.
Emanuelle in Bangkok shows the brilliance of Joe D’Amato as a director of soft core erotica and even though his films would get more graphic as his career progressed into full blown hardcore this Emanuelle film showcases his genius more then most of his films. D’Amato more then any other filmmaker making erotica had a knack for not overstepping the boundaries that separate soft core and hard core sex films.
His use of juxta-positioning shots is inspired like when he uses footage of a steam boats engine room working overtime and mixes that with footage of Emaneulle having sex. The scene also ends with an appropriate and yet symbolic release of steam from a shaft like air vent on top of the boat. The story and the sex scenes are well balanced and D’Amato takes full advantaged of al the locations. Another interesting scene of note takes place in a night club where there is a dancer who can do interesting tricks with her vagina using ping pong balls.
The cast of Emanuelle in Bangkok features the talents of Euro cult regulars such as Giacomo Rossi-Stuart most known for his role in Mario Bava’s Kill Baby Kill and Ivan Rassimov who would star in Emanuelle around the World albeit as a different character. Actor Gabriele Tinti who was married at the time to the films star Laura Gemsar would make an appearance in the film. Then there is Laura Gemsar as the enchanting Emanuelle the character for which she will be forever linked with. Gemsar is one of the most beautiful seductress’s to ever grace the silver screen and whether she is clothed, naked or making love it is impossible to take your eyes off of her. Nico Fidenco’s lush and exotic score for Emanuelle in Bangkok perfectly captures the East Asian settings and culture that the film takes place in.

Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle which is also known as Emanulle in Egypt is a Emanuelle film in name only which pairs together to actresses Laura Gemser and Annie Belle who achieved fame playing characters inspired by Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane author of the famous erotic novel “Emmanuelle”. Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle was directed by Brunello Rondi a frequent collaborator of Federico Fellini.
The story is virtually non existent for Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle as the film is essentially just a series of locations shots and soft core scenes that are padded to make up for lack of plot and dialog. Visually the film does have a surreal dream like Fellini feel to it especially the films nest to last scene where things gets so out of control and bizarre describing what happens would be difficult. One of the films more disturbing aspects is the character of Carlo played by Gabriele Tinti. Carlo likes to photograph beautiful women next to dead animals and humans and has a mean streak to him.
The film features several lovely ladies like Susan Scott who still looks enchanting in one her later roles and Laura Gemser playing a character who also just happens to be named Laura. Performance wise Laura Gemser is merely adequate as she spends way to much screen time being beaten or depraved by the various men in her life. On the other hand actress Annie Belle looks absolutely stunning as Pina and for fans of Belle one would be hard pressed ot find a film where she looks better then she does her. The most entertaining performance in the film is without a doubt that of Al Cliver as Horatio a sinner disguised as a holy man. Ultimately Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle has several moments visually that are amazing looking unfortunately the film as a whole is a tedious affair that tries to hard to be something it is not.

Описание: The film begins with a madman trying to kill Emanuelle because she has snapped nude pictures of his girlfriend. But the slender beauty quickly manages to seduce the guy. And after a little hankypanky, the perpetrator runs away in shame. The irresistible reporter then goes on a mission to expose some foreigners for being sex crazed perverts. First she infiltrates a harem that is controlled by a slick millionaire, and then she goes to a party where the highlight is a naked woman in a cake. She eventually goes to Venice and lots of tits and ass ensue. The rest of the film consists of Emanuelle enjoying threesomes, girl-on-girl action, sauna sex, underwater sex, orgies, phone sex, a horse called Pedro, a grainy snuff film and everything imaginable while documenting the whole mess with her top secret Bond’ish spy camera. Along the way she hops in the sack with Lorraine De Salle (Cannibal Ferox), Marina Hedman (Images In A Convent), Paola Senatore (also Images In A Convent), Gabriele Tinti (Gemser’s husband in real life) and many others. The script isn’t a priority (big surprise there!!), but it’s actually not just kinky sex that is the main attraction here.
Sure, getting naked is a big part of the film, and it even has a few X-rated scenes edited in (Gemser herself never participates in any of them). But most memorable is actually the colorful atmosphere. The sets and surroundings in these Black Emanuelle films are like candy for the eye, and this movie is no exception. It has a sensual tone that’s relaxing for the mind, a good score (Click to listen) and it’s fun to follow the globetrotting journalist on exotic adventures around the world. Laura Gemser has a great screen presence and the camera loves her. However, Emanuelle In America isn’t just about good times and pleasure - so beware. The dedicated reporter enjoys many nice moments in the sun, but she also stumbles upon some nasty shit in this movie - like a woman who is forced to drink acid, Pedro’s tallywhacker and a group that uses kidnapped girls to make snuff. Emanuelle in America is the wildest and sleaziest film in the series, and it’s like a mix of the horror and the sex genres. It actually has a decent story with the snuff and the journalism, but like I said; It’s not a priority. It’s like D’Amato just said “To hell with it, let’s just make a sick movie with boobs”. Anyway, it’s not for the squeamish, but for fans of Italian exploitation films, this is a must-see.

This film is the only one included in this collection that was not directed by Joe D’Amato. It was directed by Giuseppe Vari and style wise it is in direct contrast to the D’Amato films. Being that this Emanuelle entry is also part nunsploitation it is only fitting that the look of the film looks more like the soft lit look nunsploitation films are known for and not the flamboyant style the is evident in every D’Amato Emanuelle film. The films plot will it starts off start forward enough tends to drift off into dream like territories which at times make it hard to discern what is real and what is not.
Even though this is titled as an Emanuelle film the real star of this film is the character named Monica who is played by an actress named Mónica Zanchi who would later also star in the film Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals. The most interesting part of the film is how Emanuelle is the sexually repressed one while Monica is the free spirited sex nymph. Gabriele Tinti has a brief role as a murdered on the run and just his luck he has found a horny teenage girl to provide him with shelter and love.
Laura Gemsar does a wonderful job playing the other side of the coin and even though she spends a great deal of time clothed in her nun outfit that doesn’t stop her sexuality form oozing forth. Gemsar is like a force of nature and no matter if she is clothed or naked she always has the ability to ignite the screen with desire. Stelvio Cipriani’s score sound like Mozart meets progressive rock with its spaced out arrangements and motifs. Overall while there is some interesting moments Sister Emanuelle is the weakest of the three films include in the Black Emanuelle box set.

Описание: Emanuelle meets a man named Dr. Malcolm Robertson (Ivan Rassimov) who opens her eyes to more then just sex. Reluctantly she accepts an assignment to go to India to interview a guru named Shanti (George Eastman) who claims he has perfected the ultimate orgasm. While in India Emanuelle meets a woman who reveals a white slave trade organization that is kidnapping and selling women. When this job proves to be too much for just one lady Emanuelle enlists the help of her reporter friend Cora Norman (Karin Schubert). The two women then globe trot around the world exposing these sex slave operations.
After the success of Emanuelle in Bangkok is only made sense to reunite most of its talent from that film including director Joe D’Amato and actress Laura Gemsar as Emaneulle and actor Ivan Rassimov as Emaneulles main love interest. In fact the cast is a virtual whose who of 1970’s exploitation which includes Craig Hill as a disfigured man and porn director/icon Paul Thomas as a truck driver. Other notable performances include that of George Eastman as a sex addicted capitalist who disguises himself as a cult leader and the lovely Karin Schubert getting equal time as Emanuelle’s sidekick. Overall the whole cast even down to the littlest bit player does a fantastic job.
Out of all the Black Emanuelle films that Joe D’Amato directed Emanuelle around the World is without a doubt the most ambitious of the lot. Even though there is plenty of graphic bits and moments of Degradation this film still doesn’t get the title as the most notorious of the series. That honor shall be bestowed to Emanuelle in America. Once again many beautiful locations are used and lots of naked women are on display.
One can’t help but fall in love with the score composed by Nico Fidenco for this or any of his Emanuelle score. He once again manages to capture the essence and mood of every moment. This is also another solid job from director Joe D’Amato who fills every moment of the film with picturesque imagery. The story is never dull and the journey we are taken on is often engaging and always entertaining.

Описание: Acclaimed photo-journalist Emanuelle (Laura Gemser) is undercover taking photographs for an exposé of a New York mental hospital when she witnesses a nurse who has had her nipple bitten off by a patient. The patient turns out to have a curious tribal tattoo which Emanuelle discovers is that of an apparently extinct Amazon cannibal tribe. She meets up with anthropologist Mark Lester (Gabriele Tinti) who she encourages to help lead an expedition into the Amazon to research an article on the tribes. In the jungle they meet up with Wilkes whose daughter Isabelle is heading up river to deliver supplies to a missionary. As the group camp by the river on an evening they bump into hunter Donald McKenzie (Donal O'Brien) who tells them that the missionary's camp has been destroyed by savages. The next morning the groups discover that one of their crew has been brutally slaughtered and their boats are missing - they have to begin the perilous cross-country trek back to safety...
The storyline opens in typical Black Emanuelle film fashion, although the build-up to the arrival in the rainforest seems to be very quickly hurried over with the almost comical result that an expedition into the Amazon seems to be planned in a single day (and consist of no more than two people). From here on there are no real links to the established Emanuelle character aside from the fact that she takes a few photographs - the character could easily have been in the story as a visitor of the missionary station. The links to the earlier films are also quite limited - aside from a few sex scenes there is very little eroticism and the focus seems to be on making a dedicated cannibal film. In this respect the script is solid if unimpressive - there is nothing here that would not be done a lot better by many of the later genre entries, but at least the pacing is strong and some tension is built up at the enjoyable climax.
Although D'Amato had really taken Emanuelle around the world in his earlier films, Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals spends most of its runtime in an Italian river, masquerading as the Amazon - the effect is not too bad but it does mean that the stock animal footage looks very poorly integrated (although fortunately it is only used once). The direction of the sex scenes, usually a highlight of the series, is rather uninspired and like the script it feels like D'Amato was much more interested in getting to the gore scenes. At these he does excel with some incredibly vivid effects on display (although the film does avoid the animal violence which was to become a genre staple). Even composer Nico Fidenco changes tack here with a much darker than usual soundtrack which works well to build up tension, although still retaining a cheesy title song.

Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade would mark the final Black Emanuelle collaboration between Laura Gemser and director Joe D’Amato. Story wise just like the Joe D’Amato directed Black Emanuelle’s we get to see Emanuelle go from one place to the next where she then finds another cause to champion. Visually director Joe D’Amato shows off his string visual style and unique eye for capture even the more mundane moments. Laura Gemser does a superb job as Emanuelle as she perfectly captures the playfulness of the character. Performance wise Laura Gemser always seems to excel when working with Joe D’Amato.
Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade is considered one of the rarest of the Black Emanuelle and while so of the content could have to do with it being rarely screened the overall content while provocative is not as depraved as it is in such films like Emanuelle in America or Emanuelle Around the World. Leave to Joe D’Amato who always seems to try to outdo himself with each new Black Emanuelle film and Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade is a fitting conclusion which features several great Joe D’Amato touches like a cross dressing transvestite bodyguard who knows martial arts. Ultimately Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade is a fun filled sexual romp which embodies all things that make the Black Emanuelle films so damn entertaining.

She also wants to kill his two business partners who held him Sodomize her. The hit-man not satisfied with his payment decides to blackmail Emanuelle into paying him even more money. Will Emanuelle get her revenge before the hit-man she hired exposes her involvement in her husbands’ murder?
Emanuelle’s Daughter Queen of Sados is not what I would call an official black Emanuelle film and one has to wonder if they only named the lead character Emanuelle because of Laura Gemsar’s involvement in the film. The film makes good use of the exotic Greek locations and the director’s uses a voyeuristic like camera style that suits the feel of the film. The story is your standard abused wife wants to get revenge type story and despite a really flimsy storyline the film does have a few solid moments especially the flashback scenes where Emanuelle is being sodomized and the films finale at a deserted ancient Greek amphitheatre.
The sex scenes are all well done and at times genuinely erotic. The films disco score firmly places the film forever in the late 1970’s. If it wasn’t for Laura Gemsar being is this film then this film would really be a waste of time. Gemsar steals every scene she is ion and she looks stunning though out. Actress Livia Russo plays Emanuelle’s step daughter and the scene in which she is raped by the hit-man is very difficult to watch as it at times looks a tad to real in its execution. Livia Russo does a wonderful job overall in the film and it is too bad this film appears to be the only one she ever made. The films anticlimactic ending leaves a lot to be desired and it doesn’t help that is film end rather abruptly. Emanuelle’s Daughter Queen of Sados is a mediocre film that has plenty of sleaze and just the right amount of plot twists to keep things entertaining for the most part.

Описание: A cult named “The Children of Light” who is lead by a woman simply known as the divine one targets the daughter of a rich senator in hopes that she will join their cult and bring her family fortune with her.
Divine Emanuelle Love Cult is the brainchild of German singer Christian Anders who not only stars in the film as Dorian he also directed the film, wrote the screenplay, wrote the films hypnotic score and produced this one of kind film. The film features prominently two songs written by Christian Anders and while they are both catchy by the end of the film they were there welcome thin. Part of the strangeness that make this film so endearing is that whenever a song starts playing the various cast members in the scene not only sing along they break into full blown dance numbers. The overall look and direction of the film is more then adequate and most of this is most likely due to cinematographer Vassilis Christomoglou and no the films director Christian Anders.
Once again here is another film featuring Laura Gemsar that refers to itself as an Emanuelle film and despite the title referring to Emanuelle Gemsar or no one else in the entire film is ever called Emanuelle. There is plenty of T&A and soft core sex in this film and several scenes feature the lovely Laura Gemsar. The films ending is oddly appropriate as it literally ends with a bang. Laura Gemsar as usual looks amazing and despite a non existent plot she stills makes every scene she is in enjoyable. There is some much wrong with this film like the plot and the lack of any good performances outside of Laura Gemsar. The plot at least what there is of it slightly resembles the final days of cult leader Jim Jones and his followers of Johnstown who committed mass suicide. If you can get past all of its numerous flaws Divine Emanuelle Love Cult is actually a really entertaining slice of cheesy cinema that epitomizes everything cult fans have come to love about bad cinema.

Описание: Two women are being taken a police van that will lead them to a women's prison. Right as they are about to board, a cop car pulls up with one more woman to add, Laura. Her first activity at the prison involves getting looked over by Doctor Moran. When everything checks out okay, she's send to her cell. Her cell mate is an older woman by the name of Pelar. She does as she pleases due to being behind bars for the last some odd years. That night, the second in command, Rescaut, brought out two of the prisoners from their cells and had them make love to one another. The entire prison could hear the two moaning, which eventually lead to some of the other cell mates getting intimate. Rescaut ends up breaking up the two she brought out by beating them with a nightstick.
On the morning after, Laura is quietly cleaning the prison halls. She's stopped by two of the female guards and told to dispose of a bucket of feces. Instead of doing so, she throws it on the guards, but is then mauled to the ground by their nightsticks. Somehow she gets the upper hand in the fight, Rescaut put a stop to that very quickly. After the three teamed up her, they threw her in solitary. During her stay in solitary, she gets attacked by a mound of rats. They tear her up, little by little until the guards take her back to her cell. Pelar sees how much pain she's in and thinks of a way to get her to the doctor. She begins to act very sick. When the guards go to her and see that something's wrong, they bring in the doctor. When he notices how battered Laura is, he demands taking her to medical room.
Moran lets Laura in on a little secret. The only reason he's at that prison is because he murdered his wife after she was diagnosed with a deadly illness that would only take a matter of days to kill her. The only way to avoid going to prison was to be a doctor at the one he's currently in. After a couple of days, Laura is put back into labor with the rest of the prisoners. During their work on a rocky mountain side, two of the prisoners get into a fight, one ends up dead. Her friend begins to lose and starts running around screaming. She's eventually silences by a pack of attack dogs that are about to be unleashed on her.
Not too long after, the warden gets a letter in the mail stating that a local newspaper reporter has disguised herself as a criminal to get into a prison to expose the corrupt practices of that prison. The warden immediately suspects Laura as the reporter. After searching her cell, she finds a diary that Laura has been keeping. She's put back into solitary and beaten until she tells about her diary. When she says nothing else, she's tortured in other cruel ways until she blows her cover and tells them about how she's a reporter. With no one on the outside knowing the fake identity Laura presented to the prison, they have her right where they want her.

Описание: Emanuelle (Laura Gemsar) is a reporter who is set up and sent to prison when she gets to close to exposing the corrupt district attorney. Four murders are on their way to the men’s prison when their convoy is ambushed and only one guard is left to watch the four prisoners. There is a Women’s prison near by so the guard takes his four male prisoners to there where they will be kept until re-enforcements can be sent to transport them. It doesn’t take long before the four male prisoners take over the women’s prison and make all the women beg for their attention.
In the history of cinema there have been many bad filmmakers’ and yet none have been as consistently bad for as long as Bruno Mattei. Women’s Prison Massacre has many of the same cast members that were also in Mattei’s Violence in a Women’s Prison and this is where the comparison ends since each film has a unique take on the Women in Prison films genre. The sleaze level is extremely low for Women in Prison film and even the tortures feel fare and few in between. There is plenty of cat fights and violence most of which happens after the four men prisoner take over the prison. The main reason to check this film out is for the beautifully Laura Gemser who also ignites the screen in everything she is in. Unfortunately there isn’t enough Gemsar in this one to save the film from its dull and un-eventful story.

Laura Gemser was born in Java, Indonesia in 1950 and moved with her family to the Netherlands in 1954 where Laura was educated and studied fashion design. She entered the world of modelling and appeared as the centrefold in the September 1973 edition of the Italian Playmen magazine. While the film was not overly successful, Laura was offered a small part in Emmanuelle: L'antivierge (1975) by director Francis Giacobetti who had worked with Laura in the past as a photographer. The second of the Sylvia Kristel Emmanuelle films, following on from the iconic Emmanuelle (1974), Gemser's role was small, playing an unnamed masseuse in an erotic massage sequence, but it caught the attention of audiences and film makers and she was offered a part in Emanuelle nera (1975). Although seemingly intended as little more than a cash in on the popular French series, director and co-writer Bitto Albertini created a completely different character for Laura to play - a strong willed independent woman who has sex for her own pleasures, rather than the somewhat weak minded character whom Sylvia Kristel played. The film proved to be an enourmous success and Laura was quickly picked up for a sequel Emanuelle nera: Orient reportage (1976) for director Joe D'Amato. Although remaining very close to the original film in style, the Italian director who would become infamous for his sleazy erotic and horror films, put his trademark on the series with a violent gang rape and Mondo style footage of animals fighting.
Another successful film, Laura Gemser's name was becoming associated with erotica and with producers looking to cash in on the genre's popularity Laura quickly found herself offered numerous film parts; including co-starring with Jack Palance in Harry Alan Towers' Eva nera (1976); kissing French erotic star Annie Belle in Velluto nero (1976); taking holy orders in Suor Emanuelle (1977) and travelling to Greece for I mavri Emmanouella (1979). In true exploitation style Laura's presence meant that all of these films, and a great many more she starred in, would be marketed, particularly in English speaking markets, as Emanuelle films. Imbetween all these roles, Laura did appear in one 'straight' film - the Terence Hill/Bud Spencer family comedy I due superpiedi quasi piatti (1977), playing quite inexplicably a Chinese woman called Susy Lee, the rest of whose family is played by Chinese actors.
Laura returned to work with Joe D'Amato on four more Black Emanuelle films - Emanuelle in America (1977) and Emanuelle - Perché violenza alle donne? (1977) continued the episodic storylines with a dramatic increase in sleaze, while in Emanuelle e gli ultimi cannibali (1977) the series underwent a complete sea change as D'Amato looked to make a jungle cannibal adventure and the sex was exchanged for violent gore. The final entry to the series came with La via della prostituzione (1978) which boasts some of the series' most erotic scenes in the opening half hour but soon descends into suprisingly tame boredom. It was while on location in New York on the filming of the series that Laura married co-star Gabriele Tinti whom she met on the set of the original Black Emanuelle and she moved permenantly to live in Italy with him. Laura continued to appear in erotic films, appearing for the original Emmanelle (1974) director Just Jaekin's L'île aux sirènes segment of the anthology film Collections privées (1979) as well as West German film Die Todesgöttin des Liebescamps (1981) about a sex crazed cult and in two decidedly brutal women-in-prison productions for Italian exploitation maestro Bruno Mattei - Violenza in un carcere femminile (1982) and Emanuelle fuga dall'inferno (1983), the latter actually ressurecting the photo-journalist Black Emanuelle character for the last time.
Outside of erotica, Laura was cast in Riccardo Freda's final film, the giallo Murder obsession (1981); as a half-cast female samurai in the Anglo-American production The Bushido Blade (1981) and travelling into the jungle in the Indiana Jones rip-off Horror Safari (1982). The highlight of her acting career came with a lead role in the American television film Love Is Forever (1983) playing a woman from Laos being rescued by an Australian journalist - the effect on her career was considerably muted however when director Hall Bartlett insisted that she change her name to sever any links with her previous erotic films and so she was forced to appear credited as Moira Chen. Despite travelling around the world for filming, her loyalty remained with Joe D'Amato and she would appear in many of his films including the unsuccessful horror/erotic mix of Le notti erotiche dei morti viventi (1980) and the sleazy erotica Caligola: La storia mai raccontata (1982). He also brought her in for low budget sword and scorcery film Ator l'invincibile (1982) and the post-apocalyptic adventure Endgame - Bronx lotta finale (1983). D'Amato was such a fan of the actress however that he was determined to keep her on-board and hired her as a costume designer. In this role she worked on several films that D'Amato was producing for his Filmirage production company, including the ubiquitous bad movie Troll 2 (1990), haunted house horror La casa 5 (1990) and Lucio Fulci's final film Le porte del silenzio (1991). Two final acting parts came in George Eastman's horror film Metamorphosis (1990) and D'Amato's sword and scorcery 'Ator' sequel Quest for the Mighty Sword (1990). In 1991 her husband Gabriele Tinti died of cancer and Laura retired completely from the film business. Since then she has given occasional interviews and although admitting some embarrasment at what she had to do in the films, she never regretted making them.

There's always cruel omissions when consulting various lists of the great beauties of the 7th Art. Are people too shy, or maybe ignorant, to include names that are essential to honor? Too many actresses having played in so-called dubious productions are more often than not ignored; on the other hand, actresses with more straight (or boring) filmographies are unjustly adulated. With this site, I'm trying to pay homage to some of these women (Edwige Fenech and Daria Nicolodi come to mind). Today, it's time to talk about someone who merits such attention: Laura Gemser. Who the hell is that, I hear you say. My response: Why, you never heard of Black Emmanuelle? You never saw Porno Holocaust or Caged Women? I'm surprised... So, let's welcome another kind of Siren, a true representative of B-movies we like. (And would you believe that there's a Yellow Emmanuelle? But that's a story for another day.)
Born in 1950 in Java, Indonesia, Laura Gemser remains an unique beauty in the history of motion pictures. Her magnificent exotic features are probably the result of mixed origins. There's not much of a biography to be found about her on the web (besides a couple of German paragraphs, and we all know how well translation software works...). She always was interested in couture, but it's as a model that her pictures fell between the hands of Italian movie producers, who contacted her agency. She was then hired for her first film, Free Love, in 1974, directed by Ludovico Pavoni. Filmed in the beautiful Seychelles Islands, this first credit was an expectation of thing to come in Laura's filmography: shooting in breathtaking exotic locations. Let's note that she previously posed for some European men's magazines, such as Lui and Playmen, legendary issues that became collectors' items.
The next year, Laura enjoyed a brief role in the second film of the Emmanuelle series with Sylvia Kristel, Emmanuelle l'antivierge by Francis Giacobetti (whom she knew for many photo sessions). In one of the series' most memorable scene, Laura is masseuse to the Emmanuelle character with great enthusiasm. All this resulted for Laura to be offered the role of Black Emmanuelle, another series parallel to the original one. Ah, the seventies... Other movies wouldn't hesitate to put the name Emmanuelle in their title, even if they weren't part of the series, just for the fact that Laura was in the cast! And it's sometimes spelled with only an "m"!
Black Emmanuelle came out in 1975, directed by Adalberto Albertini. One of the stars was Gabriele Tinti, a veteran of the industry active since 1952. He noticed Laura as she was visiting the production office in Rome and they began a romance while shooting in Kenya. Consequently, Laura moved to Italy to stay with him and they eventually shared the screen in many films. German actress Karin Schubert was also in the cast, herself more known for European adventure movies. Her career took a strange turn in the mid-eighties, as she played parts in films that can only be described as "adult" (to go from Jean-Louis Trintignant to Rocco Sifredi The Italian Stallion as co-stars is somewhat astonishing, no?). She tried to commit suicide, eventually. Lastly, a personal favorite of mine is also in the cast, Venantino Venantini, as he was in Free Love. Laura is Mae Jordan, photographer sent to Africa for a photo-shoot where she'll mix duty and pleasure, finding many erotic adventures under a memorable soundtrack.
As mentioned, Black Emmanuelle's success started a colorful series, under the guidance of Aristide Massaccesi, dominant figure in Italian B-movies, best known as Joe D'Amato. Black Emmanuelle 2 came to be, this time with a different actress, Sharon Leslie, again by Albertini. Confused? Don't worry and look at the pictures. D'Amato's experience as a magazine photographer was favorable for Laura, who would not necessarily be embarrassed to be nude in numerous productions to come. By her own words, she admitted to always enjoy working with professional crews. These films contained nothing much explicit compared to today's XXX productions and became popular for their exotic locations and Laura's unique beauty.
1976 would be a busy year for Laura Gemser. She married Tinti, union that would last to his death in 1991. She worked with D'Amato for the first time in Girl in a Seminary, a comedy where she plays a maid, with Jacques Dufilho, great French character actor. Emmanuelle on Taboo Island takes to the big screen (with Arthur Kennedy, a veteran American actor who was surely at loss to explain what he was doing in such a project). She worked in Hong Kong with Jack Palance for Black Cobra. Black Emmanuelle in Bangkok opened. Same thing for Emmanuelle in America (where she investigates snuff movies). Finally, she can be seen with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer in Crime Busters as Susy Lee.
Her main series still went on with Emmanuelle and the Girls of Madame Claude, where our photographer investigates a supposed white slavers ring. Even so, there was more Emmanuelle in Laura's future, with Unleashed Perversions of Emmanuelle and Emmanuelle Escapes from Hell, this one being the last of the series with another stale script about prison abuse.

Was it too ambitious to create a Laura Gemser biography page, considering the rarity of information? Furthermore, I had to suffer through a long PhotoShop session to edit photographs illustrating this article, as I wanted this site to remain a model of prime family viewing. There's not much of a biography to be found about her on the web (besides a couple of German paragraphs, and we all know how well translation software works...). She always was interested in couture, but it's as a model that her pictures fell between the hands of Italian movie producers, who contacted her agency. She was then hired for her first film, Free Love, in 1974, directed by Ludovico Pavoni. Filmed in the beautiful Seychelles Islands, this first credit was an expectation of thing to come in Laura's filmography: shooting in breathtaking exotic locations. Let's note that she previously posed for some European men's magazines, such as Lui and Playmen, legendary issues that became collectors' items.
The next year, Laura enjoyed a brief role in the second film of the Emmanuelle series with Sylvia Kristel, Emmanuelle l'antivierge by Francis Giacobetti (whom she knew for many photo sessions). In one of the series' most memorable scene, Laura is masseuse to the Emmanuelle character with great enthusiasm. All this resulted for Laura to be offered the role of Black Emmanuelle, another series parallel to the original one. Ah, the seventies... Other movies wouldn't hesitate to put the name Emmanuelle in their title, even if they weren't part of the series, just for the fact that Laura was in the cast! And it's sometimes spelled with only an "m"!
Black Emmanuelle came out in 1975, directed by Adalberto Albertini. One of the stars was Gabriele Tinti, a veteran of the industry active since 1952. He noticed Laura as she was visiting the production office in Rome and they began a romance while shooting in Kenya. Consequently, Laura moved to Italy to stay with him and they eventually shared the screen in many films. German actress Karin Schubert was also in the cast, herself more known for European adventure movies. Her career took a strange turn in the mid-eighties, as she played parts in films that can only be described as "adult" (to go from Jean-Louis Trintignant to Rocco Sifredi The Italian Stallion as co-stars is somewhat astonishing, no?). She tried to commit suicide, eventually. Lastly, a personal favorite of mine is also in the cast, Venantino Venantini, as he was in Free Love. Laura is Mae Jordan, photographer sent to Africa for a photo-shoot where she'll mix duty and pleasure, finding many erotic adventures under a memorable soundtrack.
As mentioned, Black Emmanuelle's success started a colorful series, under the guidance of Aristide Massaccesi, dominant figure in Italian B-movies, best known as Joe D'Amato. Black Emmanuelle 2 came to be, this time with a different actress, Sharon Leslie, again by Albertini. Confused? Don't worry and look at the pictures. D'Amato's experience as a magazine photographer was favorable for Laura, who would not necessarily be embarrassed to be nude in numerous productions to come. By her own words, she admitted to always enjoy working with professional crews. These films contained nothing much explicit compared to today's XXX productions and became popular for their exotic locations and Laura's unique beauty.

Описание: Mae Jordan (Laura Gemser) is an internationally acclaimed photographer known as Emanuelle. She flies into Africa for a photographic tour and stays at the home of Ann and Gianni Danieli. It is not long before the stunning Emanuelle is being persued by both Anna and Gianni as well as their friends Gloria and Richard Clifton but the photographer is not prepared to give in to anything more than their sexual desires and is determined to remain an independent woman.
Released within a year of the enourmously successful Emmanuelle (1974), Black Emanuelle is a complete contrast to the Just Jaekin film and the Emmanuelle Arsan books on which it was based. Emanuelle (with a copyright friendly one 'm') is a globe trotting reporter with a firmly independent sexual spirit. She certainly does not need any 'education' on this topic.
The storyline is a pretty basic affair, serving to get Emanuelle into Africa and little more. There are a few token references to her photography and it does serve to allow the film to use some beautiful locations but is of no real relevance to the plot, unlike some of the later Joe D'Amato films in which she will travel to dangerous locations for a story, in this case she could easily have just been an invited friend of the Danielis. The inter-relationships between the various characters which would seem to have been the main focus of the storyline is also rather thinly drawn with no real emphasis on character development and they all seem to openly accept Emanuelle sleeping with their partners - the film certainly never becomes the melodrama that it would appear to be. As it is, Black Emanuelle is all about presenting a series of nude and sex scenes, both straight and lesbian, with the storyline serving as nothing more than filler - although for this purpose it does work quite well, never letting the film drag.

Emanuelle in Bangkok would mark the first time director Joe D’Amato and actress Laura Gemsar would work together. Gemsar had previously played the role of Emanuelle in the Bitto Albertini film titled Black Emanuelle. Emanuelle in Bangkok is not as sleazy as the other entries that would follow. The sex scenes are all beautifully shot and framed. There is never anything vulgar or graphic about them.
Emanuelle in Bangkok shows the brilliance of Joe D’Amato as a director of soft core erotica and even though his films would get more graphic as his career progressed into full blown hardcore this Emanuelle film showcases his genius more then most of his films. D’Amato more then any other filmmaker making erotica had a knack for not overstepping the boundaries that separate soft core and hard core sex films.
His use of juxta-positioning shots is inspired like when he uses footage of a steam boats engine room working overtime and mixes that with footage of Emaneulle having sex. The scene also ends with an appropriate and yet symbolic release of steam from a shaft like air vent on top of the boat. The story and the sex scenes are well balanced and D’Amato takes full advantaged of al the locations. Another interesting scene of note takes place in a night club where there is a dancer who can do interesting tricks with her vagina using ping pong balls.
The cast of Emanuelle in Bangkok features the talents of Euro cult regulars such as Giacomo Rossi-Stuart most known for his role in Mario Bava’s Kill Baby Kill and Ivan Rassimov who would star in Emanuelle around the World albeit as a different character. Actor Gabriele Tinti who was married at the time to the films star Laura Gemsar would make an appearance in the film. Then there is Laura Gemsar as the enchanting Emanuelle the character for which she will be forever linked with. Gemsar is one of the most beautiful seductress’s to ever grace the silver screen and whether she is clothed, naked or making love it is impossible to take your eyes off of her. Nico Fidenco’s lush and exotic score for Emanuelle in Bangkok perfectly captures the East Asian settings and culture that the film takes place in.

Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle which is also known as Emanulle in Egypt is a Emanuelle film in name only which pairs together to actresses Laura Gemser and Annie Belle who achieved fame playing characters inspired by Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane author of the famous erotic novel “Emmanuelle”. Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle was directed by Brunello Rondi a frequent collaborator of Federico Fellini.
The story is virtually non existent for Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle as the film is essentially just a series of locations shots and soft core scenes that are padded to make up for lack of plot and dialog. Visually the film does have a surreal dream like Fellini feel to it especially the films nest to last scene where things gets so out of control and bizarre describing what happens would be difficult. One of the films more disturbing aspects is the character of Carlo played by Gabriele Tinti. Carlo likes to photograph beautiful women next to dead animals and humans and has a mean streak to him.
The film features several lovely ladies like Susan Scott who still looks enchanting in one her later roles and Laura Gemser playing a character who also just happens to be named Laura. Performance wise Laura Gemser is merely adequate as she spends way to much screen time being beaten or depraved by the various men in her life. On the other hand actress Annie Belle looks absolutely stunning as Pina and for fans of Belle one would be hard pressed ot find a film where she looks better then she does her. The most entertaining performance in the film is without a doubt that of Al Cliver as Horatio a sinner disguised as a holy man. Ultimately Black Emanulle/White Emanuelle has several moments visually that are amazing looking unfortunately the film as a whole is a tedious affair that tries to hard to be something it is not.

And after a little hankypanky, the perpetrator runs away in shame. The irresistible reporter then goes on a mission to expose some foreigners for being sex crazed perverts. First she infiltrates a harem that is controlled by a slick millionaire, and then she goes to a party where the highlight is a naked woman in a cake. She eventually goes to Venice and lots of tits and ass ensue. The rest of the film consists of Emanuelle enjoying threesomes, girl-on-girl action, sauna sex, underwater sex, orgies, phone sex, a horse called Pedro, a grainy snuff film and everything imaginable while documenting the whole mess with her top secret Bond’ish spy camera. Along the way she hops in the sack with Lorraine De Salle (Cannibal Ferox), Marina Hedman (Images In A Convent), Paola Senatore (also Images In A Convent), Gabriele Tinti (Gemser’s husband in real life) and many others. The script isn’t a priority (big surprise there!!), but it’s actually not just kinky sex that is the main attraction here.
Sure, getting naked is a big part of the film, and it even has a few X-rated scenes edited in (Gemser herself never participates in any of them). But most memorable is actually the colorful atmosphere. The sets and surroundings in these Black Emanuelle films are like candy for the eye, and this movie is no exception. It has a sensual tone that’s relaxing for the mind, a good score (Click to listen) and it’s fun to follow the globetrotting journalist on exotic adventures around the world. Laura Gemser has a great screen presence and the camera loves her. However, Emanuelle In America isn’t just about good times and pleasure - so beware. The dedicated reporter enjoys many nice moments in the sun, but she also stumbles upon some nasty shit in this movie - like a woman who is forced to drink acid, Pedro’s tallywhacker and a group that uses kidnapped girls to make snuff. Emanuelle in America is the wildest and sleaziest film in the series, and it’s like a mix of the horror and the sex genres. It actually has a decent story with the snuff and the journalism, but like I said; It’s not a priority. It’s like D’Amato just said “To hell with it, let’s just make a sick movie with boobs”. Anyway, it’s not for the squeamish, but for fans of Italian exploitation films, this is a must-see.

This film is the only one included in this collection that was not directed by Joe D’Amato. It was directed by Giuseppe Vari and style wise it is in direct contrast to the D’Amato films. Being that this Emanuelle entry is also part nunsploitation it is only fitting that the look of the film looks more like the soft lit look nunsploitation films are known for and not the flamboyant style the is evident in every D’Amato Emanuelle film. The films plot will it starts off start forward enough tends to drift off into dream like territories which at times make it hard to discern what is real and what is not.
Even though this is titled as an Emanuelle film the real star of this film is the character named Monica who is played by an actress named Mónica Zanchi who would later also star in the film Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals. The most interesting part of the film is how Emanuelle is the sexually repressed one while Monica is the free spirited sex nymph. Gabriele Tinti has a brief role as a murdered on the run and just his luck he has found a horny teenage girl to provide him with shelter and love.
Laura Gemsar does a wonderful job playing the other side of the coin and even though she spends a great deal of time clothed in her nun outfit that doesn’t stop her sexuality form oozing forth. Gemsar is like a force of nature and no matter if she is clothed or naked she always has the ability to ignite the screen with desire. Stelvio Cipriani’s score sound like Mozart meets progressive rock with its spaced out arrangements and motifs. Overall while there is some interesting moments Sister Emanuelle is the weakest of the three films include in the Black Emanuelle box set.

Описание: Emanuelle meets a man named Dr. Malcolm Robertson (Ivan Rassimov) who opens her eyes to more then just sex. Reluctantly she accepts an assignment to go to India to interview a guru named Shanti (George Eastman) who claims he has perfected the ultimate orgasm. While in India Emanuelle meets a woman who reveals a white slave trade organization that is kidnapping and selling women. When this job proves to be too much for just one lady Emanuelle enlists the help of her reporter friend Cora Norman (Karin Schubert). The two women then globe trot around the world exposing these sex slave operations.
After the success of Emanuelle in Bangkok is only made sense to reunite most of its talent from that film including director Joe D’Amato and actress Laura Gemsar as Emaneulle and actor Ivan Rassimov as Emaneulles main love interest. In fact the cast is a virtual whose who of 1970’s exploitation which includes Craig Hill as a disfigured man and porn director/icon Paul Thomas as a truck driver. Other notable performances include that of George Eastman as a sex addicted capitalist who disguises himself as a cult leader and the lovely Karin Schubert getting equal time as Emanuelle’s sidekick. Overall the whole cast even down to the littlest bit player does a fantastic job.
Out of all the Black Emanuelle films that Joe D’Amato directed Emanuelle around the World is without a doubt the most ambitious of the lot. Even though there is plenty of graphic bits and moments of Degradation this film still doesn’t get the title as the most notorious of the series. That honor shall be bestowed to Emanuelle in America. Once again many beautiful locations are used and lots of naked women are on display.
One can’t help but fall in love with the score composed by Nico Fidenco for this or any of his Emanuelle score. He once again manages to capture the essence and mood of every moment. This is also another solid job from director Joe D’Amato who fills every moment of the film with picturesque imagery. The story is never dull and the journey we are taken on is often engaging and always entertaining.

Описание: Acclaimed photo-journalist Emanuelle (Laura Gemser) is undercover taking photographs for an exposé of a New York mental hospital when she witnesses a nurse who has had her nipple bitten off by a patient. The patient turns out to have a curious tribal tattoo which Emanuelle discovers is that of an apparently extinct Amazon cannibal tribe. She meets up with anthropologist Mark Lester (Gabriele Tinti) who she encourages to help lead an expedition into the Amazon to research an article on the tribes. In the jungle they meet up with Wilkes whose daughter Isabelle is heading up river to deliver supplies to a missionary. As the group camp by the river on an evening they bump into hunter Donald McKenzie (Donal O'Brien) who tells them that the missionary's camp has been destroyed by savages. The next morning the groups discover that one of their crew has been brutally slaughtered and their boats are missing - they have to begin the perilous cross-country trek back to safety...
The storyline opens in typical Black Emanuelle film fashion, although the build-up to the arrival in the rainforest seems to be very quickly hurried over with the almost comical result that an expedition into the Amazon seems to be planned in a single day (and consist of no more than two people). From here on there are no real links to the established Emanuelle character aside from the fact that she takes a few photographs - the character could easily have been in the story as a visitor of the missionary station. The links to the earlier films are also quite limited - aside from a few sex scenes there is very little eroticism and the focus seems to be on making a dedicated cannibal film. In this respect the script is solid if unimpressive - there is nothing here that would not be done a lot better by many of the later genre entries, but at least the pacing is strong and some tension is built up at the enjoyable climax.
Although D'Amato had really taken Emanuelle around the world in his earlier films, Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals spends most of its runtime in an Italian river, masquerading as the Amazon - the effect is not too bad but it does mean that the stock animal footage looks very poorly integrated (although fortunately it is only used once). The direction of the sex scenes, usually a highlight of the series, is rather uninspired and like the script it feels like D'Amato was much more interested in getting to the gore scenes. At these he does excel with some incredibly vivid effects on display (although the film does avoid the animal violence which was to become a genre staple). Even composer Nico Fidenco changes tack here with a much darker than usual soundtrack which works well to build up tension, although still retaining a cheesy title song.

Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade would mark the final Black Emanuelle collaboration between Laura Gemser and director Joe D’Amato. Story wise just like the Joe D’Amato directed Black Emanuelle’s we get to see Emanuelle go from one place to the next where she then finds another cause to champion. Visually director Joe D’Amato shows off his string visual style and unique eye for capture even the more mundane moments. Laura Gemser does a superb job as Emanuelle as she perfectly captures the playfulness of the character. Performance wise Laura Gemser always seems to excel when working with Joe D’Amato.
Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade is considered one of the rarest of the Black Emanuelle and while so of the content could have to do with it being rarely screened the overall content while provocative is not as depraved as it is in such films like Emanuelle in America or Emanuelle Around the World. Leave to Joe D’Amato who always seems to try to outdo himself with each new Black Emanuelle film and Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade is a fitting conclusion which features several great Joe D’Amato touches like a cross dressing transvestite bodyguard who knows martial arts. Ultimately Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade is a fun filled sexual romp which embodies all things that make the Black Emanuelle films so damn entertaining.

Emanuelle’s Daughter Queen of Sados is not what I would call an official black Emanuelle film and one has to wonder if they only named the lead character Emanuelle because of Laura Gemsar’s involvement in the film. The film makes good use of the exotic Greek locations and the director’s uses a voyeuristic like camera style that suits the feel of the film. The story is your standard abused wife wants to get revenge type story and despite a really flimsy storyline the film does have a few solid moments especially the flashback scenes where Emanuelle is being sodomized and the films finale at a deserted ancient Greek amphitheatre.
The sex scenes are all well done and at times genuinely erotic. The films disco score firmly places the film forever in the late 1970’s. If it wasn’t for Laura Gemsar being is this film then this film would really be a waste of time. Gemsar steals every scene she is ion and she looks stunning though out. Actress Livia Russo plays Emanuelle’s step daughter and the scene in which she is raped by the hit-man is very difficult to watch as it at times looks a tad to real in its execution. Livia Russo does a wonderful job overall in the film and it is too bad this film appears to be the only one she ever made. The films anticlimactic ending leaves a lot to be desired and it doesn’t help that is film end rather abruptly. Emanuelle’s Daughter Queen of Sados is a mediocre film that has plenty of sleaze and just the right amount of plot twists to keep things entertaining for the most part.

Divine Emanuelle Love Cult is the brainchild of German singer Christian Anders who not only stars in the film as Dorian he also directed the film, wrote the screenplay, wrote the films hypnotic score and produced this one of kind film. The film features prominently two songs written by Christian Anders and while they are both catchy by the end of the film they were there welcome thin. Part of the strangeness that make this film so endearing is that whenever a song starts playing the various cast members in the scene not only sing along they break into full blown dance numbers. The overall look and direction of the film is more then adequate and most of this is most likely due to cinematographer Vassilis Christomoglou and no the films director Christian Anders.
Once again here is another film featuring Laura Gemsar that refers to itself as an Emanuelle film and despite the title referring to Emanuelle Gemsar or no one else in the entire film is ever called Emanuelle. There is plenty of T&A and soft core sex in this film and several scenes feature the lovely Laura Gemsar. The films ending is oddly appropriate as it literally ends with a bang. Laura Gemsar as usual looks amazing and despite a non existent plot she stills makes every scene she is in enjoyable. There is some much wrong with this film like the plot and the lack of any good performances outside of Laura Gemsar. The plot at least what there is of it slightly resembles the final days of cult leader Jim Jones and his followers of Johnstown who committed mass suicide. If you can get past all of its numerous flaws Divine Emanuelle Love Cult is actually a really entertaining slice of cheesy cinema that epitomizes everything cult fans have come to love about bad cinema.

Описание: Two women are being taken a police van that will lead them to a women's prison. Right as they are about to board, a cop car pulls up with one more woman to add, Laura. Her first activity at the prison involves getting looked over by Doctor Moran. When everything checks out okay, she's send to her cell. Her cell mate is an older woman by the name of Pelar. She does as she pleases due to being behind bars for the last some odd years. That night, the second in command, Rescaut, brought out two of the prisoners from their cells and had them make love to one another. The entire prison could hear the two moaning, which eventually lead to some of the other cell mates getting intimate. Rescaut ends up breaking up the two she brought out by beating them with a nightstick.
On the morning after, Laura is quietly cleaning the prison halls. She's stopped by two of the female guards and told to dispose of a bucket of feces. Instead of doing so, she throws it on the guards, but is then mauled to the ground by their nightsticks. Somehow she gets the upper hand in the fight, Rescaut put a stop to that very quickly. After the three teamed up her, they threw her in solitary. During her stay in solitary, she gets attacked by a mound of rats. They tear her up, little by little until the guards take her back to her cell. Pelar sees how much pain she's in and thinks of a way to get her to the doctor. She begins to act very sick. When the guards go to her and see that something's wrong, they bring in the doctor. When he notices how battered Laura is, he demands taking her to medical room.
Moran lets Laura in on a little secret. The only reason he's at that prison is because he murdered his wife after she was diagnosed with a deadly illness that would only take a matter of days to kill her. The only way to avoid going to prison was to be a doctor at the one he's currently in. After a couple of days, Laura is put back into labor with the rest of the prisoners. During their work on a rocky mountain side, two of the prisoners get into a fight, one ends up dead. Her friend begins to lose and starts running around screaming. She's eventually silences by a pack of attack dogs that are about to be unleashed on her.
Not too long after, the warden gets a letter in the mail stating that a local newspaper reporter has disguised herself as a criminal to get into a prison to expose the corrupt practices of that prison. The warden immediately suspects Laura as the reporter. After searching her cell, she finds a diary that Laura has been keeping. She's put back into solitary and beaten until she tells about her diary. When she says nothing else, she's tortured in other cruel ways until she blows her cover and tells them about how she's a reporter. With no one on the outside knowing the fake identity Laura presented to the prison, they have her right where they want her.

Описание: Emanuelle (Laura Gemsar) is a reporter who is set up and sent to prison when she gets to close to exposing the corrupt district attorney. Four murders are on their way to the men’s prison when their convoy is ambushed and only one guard is left to watch the four prisoners. There is a Women’s prison near by so the guard takes his four male prisoners to there where they will be kept until re-enforcements can be sent to transport them. It doesn’t take long before the four male prisoners take over the women’s prison and make all the women beg for their attention.
In the history of cinema there have been many bad filmmakers’ and yet none have been as consistently bad for as long as Bruno Mattei. Women’s Prison Massacre has many of the same cast members that were also in Mattei’s Violence in a Women’s Prison and this is where the comparison ends since each film has a unique take on the Women in Prison films genre. The sleaze level is extremely low for Women in Prison film and even the tortures feel fare and few in between. There is plenty of cat fights and violence most of which happens after the four men prisoner take over the prison. The main reason to check this film out is for the beautifully Laura Gemser who also ignites the screen in everything she is in. Unfortunately there isn’t enough Gemsar in this one to save the film from its dull and un-eventful story.
